Daisy — nier

Daisy is a character from the YoRHa Ver.1.2 stage play and the YoRHa: Pearl Harbor Descent Record manga series. She also briefly appears in NieR:Automata Ver1.1a.

She is a member of the Resistance. Her model was an experimental base defense unit with increased armor and two fusion reactors. It was not adopted due to "poor fuel economy."

Story

Early Life

Originally, Daisy became part of the Resistance under the command of Captain Rose during the 8th Machine War that took place over 200 years before Ver1.1a. After Rose nearly beat an abusive commanding officer to death, Rose's entire unit deserted from the squad. Since then, Daisy and her squad looked after each other like family, with Rose giving them names to symbolize their bond.

About 200 years later, she and her team come across the survivors of No.2's squad during the Pearl Harbor Descent mission. Though initially weary of them, Daisy and the rest of the Resistance become very close with the YoRHa units after Lily is cured of a Logic Virus infection by No.21, which is also done in part by using Daisy's spare fusion reactor to revive her.^[1]

Pearl Harbor Descent

As the mission is underway to descend into the server room of Mount Ka'ala, Lily exhausts herself and Rose orders Daisy to stay behind and bring Lily to safety outside of the combat zone. Daisy says her goodbyes to Gerbera, Rose, No.4, and No.2, and wishes them luck as they descend further down.

Eventually Lily wakes up, with her and Dahlia heading towards the surface, much to her frustration and sadness. They are attacked by multiple machines, and Daisy provides support for Lily. Lily manages to collapse the ceiling on the machines, causing the whole floor to collapse into rubble with Daisy protecting her from the falling debris. When Daisy wakes up, she evacuates an unconscious Lily out of the machine base, discovering the deceased No.21 along the way and tearfully thanks her for everything. Daisy hides Lily away while looking for survivors, before she is killed by a YoRHa Type E model who was sent to silence them.
